A number of hotels have reserved room allocations for WIRE 2026 delegates. The hotels below have been selected for their quality, convenience and proximity to the conference venue.

The Strand Hotel

Located on the banks of the River Shannon in the heart of Limerick City, the four-star Strand Hotel will serve as the official WIRE 2026 Conference Hub. The hotel is approximately 5 minutes’ drive (25 minutes’ walk) from the Millennium Theatre and offers excellent leisure facilities, including a swimming pool, gym and on-site restaurant. Shuttle services will operate between the hotel and the conference venue.

The Absolute Hotel

The Absolute Hotel is a contemporary four-star hotel overlooking the Abbey River, close to King John’s Castle and Limerick’s historic quarter. Located approximately 5 minutes’ drive (20–25 minutes’ walk) from the Millennium Theatre, it is also around 10–12 minutes’ walk from the Strand Hotel Conference Hub.

Clayton Hotel

Overlooking the River Shannon, the Clayton Hotel offers contemporary accommodation with spacious rooms, a fitness centre and excellent city centre access. It is approximately 7 minutes’ drive (30–35 minutes’ walk) from the Millennium Theatre and around 10 minutes’ walk from the Strand Hotel Conference Hub.

The Savoy Hotel

Limerick’s only five-star hotel, The Savoy offers luxury accommodation in the city centre, just a short walk from shops, restaurants and cultural attractions. The hotel is approximately 6 minutes’ drive (30 minutes’ walk) from the Millennium Theatre and around 8 minutes’ walk from the Strand Hotel Conference Hub.

Situated in the heart of Limerick’s shopping and dining district, The George Hotel provides modern accommodation within walking distance of the city’s main attractions.
